About Steve SappingtonSteve Sappington grew up on a wheat farm in southwestern Oklahoma. Graduating magna cum laude from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1973, Steve also has a Master's degree in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Steve first began investing with his father when they bought wheat futures to hedge their crop prices, and Steve bought his first mutual fund in the late 1970's. As a teacher in the 1980's, Steve taught computer classes to students from Kindergarten to High School. He also taught gifted students in numerous subject areas, and he operated a private music studio, teaching guitar lessons for many years.
Steve moved to Waco, Texas in January of 1988, when he became a Franchise Director for Success Motivation Institute. An Investment Representative with Edward Jones from 1993 until January 2003, Steve then co-founded Trinity Wealth Management.
Steve is a member of Gideons International and Wings for Christ, a group of flying enthusiasts. In addition to spending time with his wife, Anna, and their children, Wil, Ruth, and Sara, he enjoys reading and writing, speaking, strength training, basketball, and travel.
